Family Day at the Zoo...

Sorry guys, back dated post again!
Mummie has been pretty busy during the weekends lately...
i dun reali understand wat kept her so busy except the re watching of her korean drama serial - Full House...

Back to the zoo...
Its Family Day on a bright and cheery Sunday at the Zoo for TPC ( where Dad is working )...
We managed to get an extra pass and get YeYe, NaiNai and Auntie Nat come along with us...
Its Auntie Nat's first visit! and my second one...hee... which was just 3mths ago...
Early in the morn, Mummie had to quickly sew my dress a little tighter cos the seam was just too loose and she cant find any other more 'cooling' dress for me to wear on such a HOT weather day... We set off early so that Daddie can get a carpark lot * Predicts heavy traffic at the zoo*
And the prediction came through! it was so so so crowded... there were other companies having their family days too...

We managed to catch an animal show tis time which featured the sea lion and the penguins... very cute!!! i was all excited when the sealion used its flipper to wave Hello by splish splashing away... The day at the zoo passed at quickly... it was pretty fun but tiring... just aft the adults had lunch, i was yawning away and fightin to keep my eyes open. So we called it a day and decided to head home since yeye and Nainai are tired too... just within minutes in the car, * snore snore* i zonked out... til then, see u again... pals at the zoo!

Arriving at the zoo... Say Hello everyone!
Mummie din wana carry me cos its such a long walk to the destinated area... sigh...
Stopping for a pic wf Yeye and Nainai, dun we look comical in this pic? see my cute little tongue pokin out at the side :p
At the bouncing castle... There's this nice jiejie who actuali sort of 'protected' me from the many kids who joined in the jumping fun... the castle was so wobbly and i hung on titely to her hand... another fren made!
Family pic

What's tat on the tree Daddie?!?!

Elmo Show !!!

Back dated post

Date : 23 June 2007
Venue : D'Marquee, Downtown East
Time : 11am

You know how much i adore Elmo???
I go dancing and lala lala when i hear the music coming on...
I also go Elmo! ELmo! whenever i see him...
I love Elmo to bits... Jie Jie Karise loves Elmo too!

Now is the chance to see Elmo 'live' in action! Mummie has gotten tickets to Elmo's coloring book show! yipee!!! The tickets cost $37 each for an adult and each adult admits a free child under 2... thus, Mummie got 2 tickets and brot Jiejie along, tat certainly made the tickets more worth it! When the show began, we were thrilled by the colorful lights and dancing characters of Sesame Street on stage... we stayed very very focused and clapped away happily... So my parents thot wat good girls we were...

But...but... second half failed to catch our attention! we were more interested in climbing up and down the flight of stairs... so Mummie takes the first half as consolation that we did manage to be 'half good' haha :P Towards the end , we got locked into the show again with its familiar music and waved byebye to Elmo accompanied wf flying kisses... Til then , see you again Elmo!

On the way to meet Elmo... feeling a little drowsy, the ride to the east from the west is certainly looooooooong.... Auntie Nat wf JieJie and me... Jiejie is looking a little stoned cos she just woke up from her nap, im looking stoned too cos i haven napped! Arrived at Downtown... finali...
jiejie and I were looking on the little kiddy trains going round n round in the center square...
Can't we go in yet? Elmo Show begins! Focused... End of show... time for lunch!

I am 18mths!

Mummie reflects :

It has been 18 beautiful months, Celeste... What you din know was that Mummie counts the months by the 11th and never cease to marvel at how much you are growing each day. Before you, Mummie's fave date was 8 - the day Mummie and Daddie met, got together, married... Now, our fave date becomes 11th. Not that 8th is no longer important, it still is! ( must pacify Daddie and reassure him haha )

11th - The day when you were born and thus began our little family life... Mummie never fail to keep track of how many mths you are and wld answer anyone promptly when asked: How old is she? Recently when u just had flu, even tho just a slight one, Mummie got grumpy and cranky... Not that i do not have the patience to handle a cranky you, but its how Mummie's heart reali sank just knowing you are sick. On this, Mummie must reali learn to handle such situations better, afterall the PD says tat its very very common for tods to get sick...heehee

18mths my dear gal! Been tinking of how to commemorate this day and tada! Mummie got this pressie for you, im sure you will like them... the last time when we went to Kinderland, you kept looking on the little girls dancing ballet... back at home, you started holding on to sometin while stretching your leg out... as if you are performing a little ballet dance! Soooooo... presenting your first pair of 'ballet shoes' :)

Sidenote: Celeste reali likes them! she dug the box out fr the cabinet before bedtime and insisted on wearing them... afterwhich she went out to the living room to 'show off' her new shoes... when her grandpa who just came home walked past her without realising it, she went to him , raised her leg up and said : shoe shoe!

Happy 18mths my girl... and now lets look fwd to your 2 year old bash! counting down.... ar,this serves as good notice for me to start brainstorming wat to do ( kiasu?? ) heehee...

With love, Mummie

First Over The Sea trip!!!

Yes!!! I finali had my first passport stamp! heehee... The stamp was earned in Bintan,Indonesia... It was Daddie and Mummie's first time to Bintan as well... *moutain tortoise parents* haha :) It was a hectic planning though the trip was only supposed to be 3D2N from 17 July - 19 July. The list of items to bring was looooooooooooooooong... Mummie drew up the list weeks prior to departure and made sure she continue to brainstorm wat to bring. The few heavyweight items in the list were 3 bottles of 'local' water for my consumption... why not use Bintan water, u may ask??? Well... Daddie says its best to bring our own water along in case i dun suit Bintan water... the other space consuming item was my pull up pants - 15pcs in all... Mummie was superb and managed to 'squeeze' everything our family needed into 2 backpacks! WOW WOW...

DAY 1

As the day arrived, we woke up early to have breakfast and Mummie fed me milk and porrige before our ferry ride at noon... she was worried that i might get seasick, thus the early lunch... we then got down to wait for Uncle Keith and Aunty Carol to hitch a ride to the ferry terminal * thanks Aunty & Uncle!* Daddie has taken this opportunity to send his car in for a re-spray * Mummie shakes her head on the never ending to-do things for the car* Upong reaching Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, we saw many airplanes and boy, was i excited! i kept waving bye bye to the planes as they flew over my head and wonder when i can ever have a ride in one... * Daddie, can you pls rewind and re-read the sentence* heehee... Oh Daddie, i must not forget to say HAPPIE FATHER'S DAY!!! ( happened that the departure day is Daddie's Day and Mummie got me to give Daddie a big fat kiss, followed on by a letter of thanks from Mummie, written on my behalf ) Here's our happy family at the Departure Hall...
Aunty Carol and Caleb wf Mummie and I...
Megan in her pretty Gymboree top... she must have liked this alot too cos she refused to put on the jacket tat Aunty Tracy is trying to pull over her... but of cos, Aunty Tracy still suceeded.. Mummies always have their ways :)

*counting my pals... * eh, Dylan isn't here yet! The mummies got frantic and started calling Aunty Rachel who was stil at home!!! Meanwhile Mummie quickly took the tickets to check in, and on a second look, my name is wrong!!! The ticket printed my name as Niam Xue Lin when it should have been a Xuan Lin... Kancheong Mummie was worried but was comforted by Aunty Tracy that these kinda mistakes are 'common'... so... Mummies went 'whew!' Aunty Rachel managed to get there right on time to board the ferry, and it was the final call! Mummie gets worried whenever its final call, cos she almost got stranded before in London when it was final call for her name and she had to pull her own luggage flying to the gate with airport assistants running alongside wf her and boy were the passengers on board mad wf her... the angmoh right at the aisle gave her the super rude stare which she cant forget... ok, back to my trip... the customs officer was alert enuf to notice that Megan, Daren and I were of the same birth date :)
On board the ferry... snoozing out much to Dad and Mum's delight...

Arriving at Bintan... Weather is lovely, Praise be to God! Been praying for a good weather cos the past few days had been rather cloudy and wet...
On the bus to Indra Maya Villas! On arrival at Nirwana Gardens reception... we were welcomed by some kinda traditional dance First checklist : the flowers... how do they differ from the Spore ones?
Mummie speaks : Celeste is truly a fanatic of flowers! Future suitors are advised to get some kinda florist discount membership cards :)

The villa we shared wf Aunty Carol and Aunty Sophia's family was Tortoise A while Aunty Rachel and Aunty Tracy's families got Tortoise F. We got a buggy each for convenience purpose of gettin around the villas... coolz! Off to villa...
*Copyright from Aunty Tracy* hee :p Mummie din take much pics of the villa thus gota 'steal' from Megan's blog... heehee

The room that was allocated to us... see, im gettin tired and sniffing out my bolster all ready for naptime...

We had a BBQ at our villa wf the tenants of Tortoise F... The fathers were sweating themselves out wf the BBQ... heard the daddies complaining on how hard it was to BBQ cos the pit was just lousy and the food were getting all charred... end up, Uncle Darren had to cook over the pan... Thanks to all the daddies and the BBQ efforts....

As my pals and I started zonking out one by one, the adults were happily gathered around the table for chit chatting... one of the memorable things of the nite, which shall be a secret btw the adults was the talk of the 'whale' hahahahaha... the other was of Megan and her 'dream feed'... Megan and I were placed side by side sleeping in the living room cos Mummie was worried i might wake up and climb off my cot... Aunty Tracy actuali managed to take out the pacifier and shoved the milk bottle to Meg which she steadily held and drank away! And yes, while sleeping!!! Amazing... WOW...

Day 2

Supposed to meet for breakfast wf the others but cos of abit of dilly dally, our villa was late and Tortoise F has aldy finished their breakfast and on their way back to the villa... oops! we had brekkie then headed to Tortoise F for a swim as well as a visit. Daddie is so strong! Caleb on one hand and me on the other... tats a whopping 20+ kg!! Off for breakfast At Tortoise F for a swim...

After the swim, we headed back for lunch followed by a nap... and when we woke up, it was more swimming again! in our own villa! Swimming is fun! Family pic... Know wat i use this container for??? Helping Daddie to wash his feet...

Was reluctantly pulled out for a shower cos the adults were determined to get to the Kelong Restaurant before Tortoise F tis time round haha... on reaching the restaurant, were checking out the buggies parked there and was happie to announce that we were the 'hares'!!! Dinner was not bad except for the humidity....

Day 3

Today's the end of the holiday... loads of packing to be done! We got up early and and decided to have one last swim before departure, not before our breakfast of cos... we went to Spice Restaurant and took some pics by the sea but the sun was too strong for us to enjoy the sea breeze any farther... wat's more, i was all tanned from the swimming tat Mummie decided tat i shall not stay by the sea for another minute! Daddie even gave me a new nickname - Fatimah Celeste... *groans* blame Mummie for forgettin to apply the sunblock properly, lesson learned is - Must apply thick thick!!
Nice sand accompanied by nice weather, and nice ME! heehee Daddie and me... *copyright from Aunty Tracy* Dylan , Megan and I Modelling Summer07 beachwear collection... Aunty Carol and me... Back at our villa for our finale swim... and we had visitors! Aunty Tracy, Uncle Eric and Megan came to join us... Aunty Rachel din come cos Dylan was napping... On the same bus, but going to the ferry terminal for our journey home... On the ferry back home...

Tho the break was short, but it was nevertheless a good break! Saying goodbye to our holiday was hard but it also means more to come! Daddie thinks tat i have behaved well and has given the okay for more such breaks! yipee!!! :)
