Kite flying attempt - FAILED

2 weeks ago while at Toys R Us buying my 'house', Daddie chanced upon the kites and decided to get me one!!! He was so super confident of flying kites and proclaimed that hes kinda 'expert' at it.. so Daddie asked Mummie if she knows how to fly one, and Mummie went : OF COZ! Mummie thot back of the childhood days where she, ah yi, jiujiu and the other cousins will make their own kites out of newspaper, and mind you, she said they were complete with newspaper streamers..( trying to imagine a black and white kite )hahaha. they would then ask grandma for rolls of string and grandma will then assist and teach them to tie it the right way... awww... Mummie starts to miss Grandma again... though i have never seen grandma, but Mummie will tell me bout how kind a person she was and that Mummie hopes to pass on the good values that my grandma would wish us to have...

Back to the kite flying... Daddie was all geared up in my FIRST kite flying experience... while in the car, Mummie was singing the kite song and i was so excited and kept repeating after her : kite! kite! when she stopped , i will go : Again! and there Mummie goes again and again til we reach our destination... but alas, the weather wasnt too pretty, it just rained earlier on and the floor was wet upon reaching Marina South. Moreover, the wind was stagnant!!! Here's how the sky looked, alittle glommy... seems like there is more rain coming our way... sigh

Mummie and i take a pic while Daddie fixed the kite...
Look at the Pooh Bear sunhat i have, it was chosen by myself... good taste ya? We were at AMK shopping one day when i grabbed hold of this and refused to let go , anyway the damage is minimum at oni $1.90 haha
Daddie dearest working on my butterfly kite
Come Daddie, let me lend you a helping hand...
Stil waiting for my kite to fly, see Auntie Nat giving it a shot ( back of pic ) While the adults took turns to attempt to fly the kite, we saw many other kites hangin low and slowly kissing the grass... end of session - no wind... sob sob
Mummie trying to make me happie by lettin me 'fly' the kite as she flaps it... though it was less than estimated 2metres high, i was stil giggling away as i watched my butterfly flap... better luck next time wf the wind then!
Afterwhich, we landed at IKEA for dinner and alittle bit of shopping...
Look at my pincer gloves, Daddie just knew how i adore crabs ( i always get them to carry me to watch my pals at the seafood section whenever we pop to NTUC ) Crabbie Celeste goes : giap giap!
